Multi-role Aviation Training Vessel
DP Solutions delivered above the line Project and Program Management, Procurement, Engineering including Certification and Seaworthiness, and dedicated Safety assurance to establish the Multi-role Aviation Training Vessel capability for the Royal Australian Navy.
From design to delivery, DP Solutions led the complex project, bringing together aviation, maritime and Defence regulatory frameworks within tight operational timelines for the Helicopter Aircrew Training System.
The MATV combined commercial and Navy regulatory regimes in a single platform while delivering a dedicated aviation training capability at scale.
The Aviation Facilities Certification Plan developed by DP Solutions has since been recognised as a model for future Navy platforms.
This was the first Defence project that combined Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) requirements and standards, delivering a commercial base ship combined with a fully RAN certified aviation flight deck.

ADV Sycamore was delivered as a safe, compliant and highly available aviation training platform supporting Navy capability. DP Solutions provided turn-key management, oversight and assurance role with Navy and civilian bodies to achieve Capability Realisation and Seaworthiness requirements for the Royal Australian Navy.
We supported the establishment of major capability milestones from Initial Operational Release (IOR), Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and Final Operational Capability (FOC), by delivering a vessel to not only meet capability requirements but was on schedule and achieved budget.
